Mill's Barn Limited Edition Print Contest Winners
by Mark Greenawalt

Throughout the year there have been eleven winners of the limited edition pencil drawing print of Mill's Barn.  Each month a new winner was selected using a random number generator in an Excel spreadsheet which contained the names of everyone who had signed my guestbook.  The winners were as follows:  Jan-Bob Schmitt, TN;  Feb-Faye Deck, TN;  Mar-Roberta Cornelius, FL;  Apr-Alayna Jordan, TN;  May-Steve Asper, PA;  Jun-Bill Vincent, TN;  Jul-Serena Kundysek, TX;  Aug-Troy MacMurtry, KY;  Sep-Brett Casperson, AZ;  Oct-Steve Arnold, PA;  and Nov-Fiona Bowen, GA.  And now the winner for December is...drum roll please...Katie in Bethel Park, PA.  Congratulations to all of you and thank you everyone for signing my guestbook.

To all of those who signed the book and did not get a print, I will cover the shipping costs if you still want to buy a print from me.  The cost of each print is $20.00 and comes with an original signature, print number, and certificate of authenticity.  Thanks again to everyone for participating.

Live Painting on TV
by Mark Greenawalt

For the New Year's Eve party at Axis-Radius, a nightclub in Scottsdale, the theme will be "It's a Jungle Out There".  By a very cool twist of fate, I have been asked to apply body paint to 6 lovely models with the theme of wild animals.  On Friday the 29th, I was featured on a TV news show called "Good Morning Arizona" painting one of the models as a promotion for the big event.  The model, Amy, was very beautiful and great to work with while I painted her to look like a snow leopard (or some variation of a leopard).  There is a picture from the news cast on my body painting page of the final painting.  I am writing this on the morning of New Year's Eve and today I will be painting the other five models.  The news crew will again be on hand from Channel 3 to interview us and air clips throughout the day.  I'm obviously on cloud 9 with all of this attention.  The other models will be painted as a tiger, a leopard, a white tiger, another snow leopard, and the one that's got me scratching my head, a peacock.  The peacock isn't exactly what I would call a "wild animal", but they are calling the shots, so I'll paint whatever they want.  I'll show you the pictures in the next issue of the Green Pages.

Happy New Year
by Mark Greenawalt

Well this past year's resolution was to get my scuba diving certification and I did, so I guess it's time again to set some goals.  I resolve to get my artwork/photography on the cover of a nationally distributed magazine.  I would like to thank all of the people who have visited my website (and especially those that have joined my mailing list) for taking an interest in my work.  You guys make it all worthwhile.  Thank you everyone, it has been a great year and it's only getting better.

More Bullet Items
by Mark Greenawalt

-The winter issue of Night Moves magazine has a full page article about me and my body painting artwork from the Alfadon show in October.  Check it out if you get a chance.  If you can't get a copy of the magazine, you can see a scan of the page on my body painting page by clicking on the painting with the two snakes.

-My body painting of the Queen of Spades has been selected to serve as the logo for the Alwun House annual art exhibit.  This year it will be held on February 9th and will be called 2001: An Exotic Odyssey.  The Queen of Spades bodypainting will be transformed into a Queen of Hearts for the mass printing of invitations to the event.  I will again be painting Kay, the model for the Queen of Spades, for this show as the Queen of Hearts.

-I have been contacted by New Times magazine about doing an article on me after seeing the '2001' body painting that I did with model Toni Jures.  This body painting is also on line on my body painting page.  This painting was loosely based on the book 2001: A Space Odyssey, but kind of turned into a medieval fortune teller.  Thank you Toni for modeling for me!

Type at you next month!!!
