New Pics Published in Face Painting International Magazine
by Mark Greenawalt

When Face Painting International Magazine contacted me about writing an article I immediately signed on for the task.  With the article they asked me to include a few new bodypaintings that had not been seen by the public on my website so I sent them three new bodypainting images and two others from my portfolio that coincided with the article.  I was overjoyed when I received my copy of the magazine and found that they had used all of the images and gave me a 3-page article.  A special thanks to the models Heather Keckler (former Miss Arizona), Tawnya Gentleman, Lynette Brooks, Alison, and Myla Leigh Chenoa and also thanks to the photographers Jim Goodwin, Steve Gladysz, and Don Crossland.  The magazine is available on-line from or you can call Face Painting International Magazine toll free at 866-260-7685.  For more information about each photosession and to read the article, go to .

Promotional Party with Bombay Sapphire and GQ Magazine
by Mark Greenawalt

What do you get when you mix Bombay Sapphire Gin, Next Nightclub, GQ Magazine, and a bodypainted bikini model?  Answer:  A party you won't soon forget.  I was hired to paint model/actress Rebecca Swann for this high profile club event that spared no expense to make sure everyone had a good time.  I painted the logo from the Bombay bottle on Rebecca's belly and then as she worked the party, I was able to mingle with Scottsdale's finest.  For more pictures and the rest of the story, go to .

More Bullet Items
by Mark Greenawalt

- I will be doing a live bodypainting demonstration again this year at the CopperCon sci-fi convention here in Phoenix?  The convention takes place on  September 5-7th and my particular event will be on Saturday high noon.  As of this writing, I do not have a confirmed model to announce, but the theme of the painting will be loosely based on The Lord of the Rings trilogy.  More to come...

- Congratulations to Ashley Dawn for winning a free website from by entering their recent contest.  The assignment was to write "Izzy Designs" on something or someone and create a sexy image.  Ashley called me to paint her and we created an "award-winning" bodypainting image.  Way to go Ashley!  I hope to see some pics from this session on your new site.  To see more of Ashley, go to her on-line profile at

- I'm starting to pick images for my 2004 Bodypainting Calendar.  I have four that will be included without a doubt so far, but I still need a few more bodypaintings to choose from to complete the set.  If there are any particular bodypaintings of mine that you would like to see in next year's calendar, be sure to let me know your picks.

E-ya later,
