VOL 6 ISSUE 11 | November 2003 |
I had published a desktop calendar for 2002 and 2003, but I had almost decided
that I wasn't going to do a 2004 calendar this year. What changed my mind
was a Christmas bodypainting session that turned out fantastic. The
photographer, who goes by the name O'D, invited me to work with a model that he
highly recommended named Melina Perez. I shared my idea of red lingerie
with a Santa cap and luckily they both liked it. Melina is like a chameleon
and truly looks different in nearly every picture in her on-line portfolio at www.melinaperez.com,
not to mention her other portfolio as wrestling alter-ego, Kyra, at www.ringbabe.net.
O'D was able to capture many of her looks during this photoshoot including
sultry, cute, playful, and the shot that made the calendar we called
cheesecake. Click on the picture above to enlarge it.
For this bodypainting I used paints by Reel Creations to airbrush both the bustier and the stockings. To see more of O'D's photography, please visit his websites at http://www.enchantingimages.com/ and http://www.images-by-od.com/ . Now about that calendar...
'Tis the season to ring in the new year with a fresh new set of images for the
2004 Bodypainting by Mark Greenawalt calendar. Drum roll please as I am
pleased to announce the models and photographers who have been included in this
edition, in order of appearance:

The desktop calendar is now available for ordering and you can view all of the images on the web page that I have set up at http://www.futureclassx.com/bodypaint/calendar/2004/2004calendar.htm . I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the models that helped me create this calendar. I feel very fortunate to have worked with all of them. One model is currently up for Penthouse Pet of the Year, another is a former Miss Arizona, several of them run successful members-only websites, at least two of them have recently shot with Playboy, and one is an Impact ZoneWrestling star.
In addition to the desktop calendar, there is also a wall calendar available from http://www.cafeshops.com/bodypainting that incorporates all of the same images and one additional image of Lynette Brooks by photographer Steve Gladysz on the cover. The wall calendar is 8.5" X 11" folded.
I was proud to once again be a part of the crew in support of the Villikon
Chronicles promotions at the Las
Vegas Comic-Con convention, a.k.a. Extrosion. During this 3-day event
I painted adult superstar Cheyenne
Silver in her evolved Kramcutioner outfit. Don
Crossland drove over from L.A. and took some great photos afterwards and one
of them made it into my 2004
Bodypainting Calendar. I also had the pleasure of meeting Las Vegas
model Kalucha
and painting her as the evil character Sha'leste on both Halloween and the day
after. She did a fantastic job of working the crowd along with Cheyenne
and actor Shane Stevens
(Tank Girl, Aces: Iron Eagle 2). For the rest of the story and tons of
pictures, click on the picture above or go to http://www.futureclassx.com/bodypaint/cheyenne/vegas03/extrosion.htm
.
- I will be doing a live bodypainting event again at this year's "Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n Roll" show at the Paper Heart Gallery during the first Friday in January. Last year I painted Anna Lieb with a Les Paul guitar (and, yes, the image made it into my 2004 bodypainting calendar...did I mention they are now on sale?).
- My wife and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary this month!!!
- My brother and I had our picture in the paper for taking 2nd place in a golf tournament sponsored by Ackermann Lighting this month.
E-ya later,
