Last October I traveled to Shanghai, China to take part in a The AEMI World Bodypainting Festival. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and it was so interesting being imersed in their culture. Click on the picture to see the images from my trip and to read the story behind the images. I made some really cool friends from around the world and I hope to upload some videos from the trip soon.
Last summer I was thrilled to find out that Time Magazine was including my pregnant belly painting images in a photo journal article along with images by New York artist RoByn Thompson. The magazine had contacted me for an interview, but I was skeptical that the article would actually get published and I was elated when they finally did. Click on the link to see the images they chose and their excperpts from our phone interview.
I first met Blair on a superhero bodypainting photo session entitled "Marvel vs. DC". She was painted by Papi Miranda as Emma Frost for the project. Shortly after that project, Blair was involved in a Playboy sponsored golf tournament and ended up winning a trip to the finals in LA along with a trip to the Playboy Mansion. Playboy asked her to send some images from her portfolio to promote the event and she contacted me to work with her on a bodypaintng gymnasium project. Attached is one of my favorite shots from the project.
