Welcome to the "Canyon Lake" bodypainting webpage.  This liquid latex swimsuit was Rachel's second body painting experience with me (the first time was the Pinacle Peak body painting).  This project took place on an extremely hot Arizona day in mid-May of 2001.  Surprisingly, this painting took about 3.5 hours to complete although it was a simple design.  The painting was done at Rachel's house in Chandler and then we drove about 45 minutes to Canyon Lake where the photoshoot lasted about an hour till the sun set.  Rachel has been a big supporter of my bodypainting projects and she has been like an apprentice to me at several sessions.  She is great to work with and very patient.  Rachel's modeling portfolio can be found at www.swmodels.net.

This painting is part of a series of swimsuit paintings that are being assembled for Swimsuit Illustrated magazine.  The project is being sponsored by Deviant Liquid Latex and they have provided the paint for this session.  The swimsuit consists of about 3 coats of green and then a dusting of Deviant's green Stardust to give the metallic shine.  A thin line of green was then applied to the edges without the stardust to add a little flare.  The cross hanging from the choker part of the suit was not painted on, but instead in was a real cross that was attached with the liquid latex paint.
