Travel Video To The Caribbean
by Mark Greenawalt

Caribbean Cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel Mexico

I've been gathering videos from some past trips to edit as "new" travel videos for my new Mark Greenawalt Fine Art YouTube channel. This month I went back to 2016 when we took a Carvival cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. The video includes a ride on a partially submerged submarine, a visit to Hell, and a visit to the Sea Turtle Farm. It was a great trip and it was fun reminiesing and researching it to edit this video. Click the image above to watch the video.

A Return To Concert Photography With Seven Bands
by Mark Greenawalt

Idobi Radio Summer School Tour with Huddy, If Not For Me, Arrows in Action, Beauty School Dropout, Taylor Acorn, Charlotte Sands, and Rain City Drive

On Sunday, July 27, I hit the Marquee Theatre to do concert photography once again with Burning Hot Events. The show was lineup featuring seven up-and-coming alternative acts including Huddy, If Not For Me, Arrows in Action, Beauty School Dropout, Taylor Acorn, Charlotte Sands, and Rain City Drive. It was dubbed the "Idobi Radio Summer School Tour” and it was sponsored by by Hot Topic. I really enjoyed all of the bands even though I had never heard any of their songs. Taylor Acorn and Charlotte Sands were probably my favorite and they were very dynamic to photograph. Goodbye To Ozzy Osborne
by Mark Greenawalt

IES Illumination Award 2025 International Merit and Phoenix Section Distiction.

On July 22nd, we had to say goodbye to the one and only Ozzy Osborne. I guess I would have been about 3 years old when the first Black Sabbath album was released so his music has been with me for as long as I can remember. My brother is nine years older than me so I'm sure he turned me on to Paranoid and War Pigs by the time I got to middle school. I didn't buy my first album with Ozzy singing until 1986 when The Ultimate Sin was released and featured a cover by the fantasy artist that inspired me to do art, Boris Vallejo. By this time, I was a musician and had played Ozzy and Black Sabbath songs in several bands. Years later, I played even more of his music when I moved to Arizona. Anti-M routinely played Over The Mountain and I Don't Know.

Earlier this month, I had been watching all of the footage of Ozzy and Black Sabbath's final concert. It was great to see them still kicking ass and I thought Ozzy sounded great. It was very sentimental to see all of the love and support from all of the 'disciples' of heavy metal music that owed their existence to the new music form Sabbath invented. My wife and I were also a couple of episodes into The Basement Tapes where the Osbornes looked back on their original show The Osbornes. It was shocking to hear that he had passed since he had been so 'relavent' again. He will be missed by me and many others. It has been great seeing all of the posts of those that he touched and clips of all of the crazy things that he did. My copy of The Ultimate Sin is in a frame and it's music lives on. Rest in peace, Ozzy.
