One Magical Day In December
by Mark Greenawalt

One Magical Day In December is an original Christmas song by Mark Greenawalt

I wrote a Christmas song! For those of you that love Christmas music, here's one you've never heard before. I hope you enjoy it! I played all the instruments (including my new sleigh bells) and sang lead and harmony vocals along with my daughter-in-law, Savannah Greenawalt.

There's one magical day in December
That everyone's singing about
A magical day when the world is at play
And everyone's gathered around
It's Christmas day and it's going down

Well, there's one magical day in December
That everybody's singing about
A magical day when the world is at play
And everyone's gathered around
It's Christmas day and it's going down right now

Well, there's pumpkin spice in October
Hot apple cider in the fall
Yeah, but I can't wait for that peppermint mocha
It's the greatest season of all

Long as I can remember
Hearing about 'ol Santa's sleigh
I get excited this time of year
Knowing Santa's gonna come my way
And it's going down on Christmas day

There's fireworks in the summer
Flowers in the spring
But winter is when the snow falls again
To see it makes my spirit sing

There's one magical day in December
And I really want to spend it with you
The snows getting higher, we're warm by the fire
With peppermint mochas for two
It's Christmas day I wanna be with you

There's one magical day in December
That everyone's singing about
A magical day when the world is at play
And everyone's gathered around
It's Christmas day and it's going down, right now

MTG Live! Solo Gig At The Mesa Book Festival
by Mark Greenawalt

Mark Greenawalt live at the Mesa Book Festival in 2022

It's been a really long time since I did an all-original acoustic showcase. My first time was opening for Ivan Neville at the Mason Jar in Phoenix and then I did several when I lived in Nashville. Bob Nelson from Brickcave Media reached out to me about playing a set at the Mesa Book Festival and it seemed like the perfect time to give it a go! I brought some fun instruments this time to make the music a little more dynamic including a Pearl cajon and a shaker and tambourine for beats, a harmonica and kazoo for solos, a looping pedal, and a vocal harmonizer. I split the songs pretty evenly between guitar and keyboard songs. I included my new Christmas song 'One Magical Day In December' and brought the sleigh bells and my Penn State Santa hat for authenticity. I'm looking forward to playing more solo shows in the new year hopefully. I video taped this show and you can check it out online at https://youtube.com/watch?v=n6684_RxtZg&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE .

Songs Available Everywhere Online
by Mark Greenawalt

Mark Greenawalt music is now heard worldwide

As this year comes to a close, I'm thrilled to see my songs available in so many places that wouldn't have been possible when I first started into music, without signing a record deal. You can search my name on Amazon and buy my songs for 99 cents (or use the digital item credits if you have them). Bob Nelson went to iTunes and bought my whole catalog of 39 songs! The graphic above shows that my songs have been played on Spotify in 12 different countries. I'm also on sites that I've never heard of like Boomplay ( https://www.boomplay.com/artists/27208833 ) and FLO, JOOX, and Quobuzz??? Did you know that you can include my music on your TikTok videos now too!

I wrote 28 songs in 2022, but many of them haven't been produced and uploaded yet. I only collaborated with a couple of songwriters, but I hope to do more co-writing in 2023. New music coming soon!

E-ya later,
