Wow, what a country! In October, I visited Greece with my wife and son (Lori and Zane) and my niece (Stacey) and my sister-in-law (Debbie), and we had a blast. We started in Athens and then headed to the island of Santorini and both areas were stunning for different reasons. We also did a few excursions to Meteora and the islands of Hydra, Poros, and Aegina. Of course we went to the Parthenon too! There are so many stories to tell and so many pictures to go through, but for now let me just say that I highly recommend Greece as a vacation destination.
Each year at Halloween, my wife and I try to come up with a cool 'couples' costume. This year we opted for the two Star Wars arch enemies Darth Maul and Ahsoka Tano. I decided to film myself doning my makeup so I put it on Youtube as a Darth Maul Tutorial. In years past we did wolf/red riding hood, genie/jafar, harley quinn/joker, red queen/mad hatter, Grinch/Cindy Loo Who, and scarecrow/Dorothy.
While in Athens, my son Zane and I got tattoos. This was my first tattoo at age 56 and I decided to go with my zodiac sign of Aries the ram. I did have a more grandiose design in mind, but this simplified version was just 90 Euros and was the size that made sense...for now. I might add to it the next time I'm traveling abroad. Zane got a Meander design as a cuff on his forearm.
I was in the tattoo shop waiting for my turn when I saw the guys from my songwriting group were on Facebook live. I 'dialed' in and submitted the phrase 'Get Tattooed' for this weeks song, and wouldn't you know it got selected. So when I got back to Arizona I wrote and recorded my song 'Get Tattooed'. Check it out where ever you get your music...I'm biased but I think it's pretty good and it was inspired by real events!
