Honey! Our New Golden Doodle Puppy
by Mark Greenawalt

Golden Doodle puppy named Honey joins the Chateau Greenawalt

Meet our new puppy! Her name is Honey and she is a 2 month old Golden Doodle. She’s adorable! After searching for a couple of months at dog rescues and mall pet stores we finally found our little princess at a new store in Chandler called Puppy Land. We were the first customers for this location. Honey's dad is a mini poodle named Max's Ace and her mom is a mini Goldendoodle named MK's Eve. She really seems to like being around us and we're thrilled to welcome her to Chateau Greenawalt!

Historic Harper's Ferry - WV, VA, and MD

Train and Pedestrian Bridge in Harper's Ferry where the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers converge.

I visited historic Harper’s Ferry in West Virginia this past weekend with my wife, my niece, and my sister-in-law. There is a lot of history in down town Harper's Ferry (including John Brown capturing the town during the Civil War). We walked through the charming town from the train station and crossed over the footbridge along the tracks where ‘The Point’ of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers converge and separate the states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Another goal for the trip was to partake in another state's local brewery so we hung out at Harper's Ferry Brewery in Virginia for a while too. I had a flight of some really great brews and we sat outside along the river and enjoyed the view. It was a really great day!

Historic Route 66, Williams, Arizona

Route 66 gas pump in Williams, Arizona along the historic road

Ah, the lingering mystique of Route 66. I’m old enough to remember full service filling stations with pumps like these, but by the time I graduated high school, Rt 40 had replaced Rt 66. This past weekend, my mom and my wife and I visited nostalgic Williams, Arizona. They are keeping the memory alive with relics of this bygone slice of history. We enjoyed walking downtown in the twilight hours as the neon signs began to glow and had an nice meal at Grand Canyon Brewery where we checked off another local brew on our Pub Pass. Another great trip!
