APRIL 1999 |
Late, But With An Alibi
by Mark Greenawalt
I know it's already May, but I still wanted to get the April newsletter out to all of my adoring fans and friends. My story is that my computer crashed last month before I had a chance to write it. I had to replace my hard drive and start from scratch on loading programs and such. Luckily I had saved all of the e-mail addresses for the Green Pages mailing list on a separate disk.
Since the last newsletter, I have been busy with music, art, photography, work travels, and family (a typical month). I've added some of the fruits of my labor to the www.futureclassx.com web site including new drawings and new photographs.
While my computer was down, I used my computer at work to stay connected to the net. In fact, my company put me in charge of designing their web page. It is still a work in progress, but you are welcome to go check it out at http://www.icthomasson.com .

Oh, the stories I could tell you. Yes, believe it or not, I'm still on track for
completing my photographic mission of shooting all of the state capital buildings.
April's additions include Denver,
Colorado; Cheyenne,
Wyoming; Topeka, Kansas;
and St. Paul, Minnesota.
That's sixteen total for an average of four each month. I was in Colorado the same
week as the school shooting and I got to see miles and miles of prairie fires while
driving through Kansas. In Minnesota, a tour guide took me up on the roof to get a
picture of the capitals golden statue. Eventually I'll probably write a short
paragraph about my travels for each of the capitals, but for the newsletter I'll try to
stop here to keep it from becoming a novel.

New pencil drawings this month include a barn I drew for my sister-in-law, Debbie Mills. I even titled it Mill's Barn. This is a barn in Tennessee and I drew it from a photograph taken by business associate (who has become a good friend) named H.C. Another pencil drawing is of Darth Maul, the evil-looking character from the upcoming Star Wars movie, The Phantom Menace. I have also completed two more nude pencil drawings. All of these drawings can be found in the Art Gallery of my web page at http://www.futureclassx.com/art/gallery.htm.

The new Dawna Bradford CD is in the final stages of mixing and mastering and should be available on a limited basis in the coming weeks. If all goes as planned, I will be photographing Dawna for the CD cover and other promotional material. I had the opportunity of singing harmony vocals on several tracks of the CD (one of which I co-wrote with Dawna) and now we are in the rehearsal stage for doing showcases for record company big-wigs. Should be fun!!!
One of my photographs of a "tank farm" in Decatur, Alabama will be published in this months Nashville Business Journal. My company, I.C. Thomasson, is placing the advertisement which shows pictures several of our completed projects. The main picture shows our involvement with designing the new NFL stadium for the Tennessee Titans (formally the Houston Oilers).
Thank you to everyone who has signed my guestbook. I appreciate the
encouragement. For those of you who haven't signed it yet, I sure would love to hear
from you. It can be found from the home page of FUTURE-CLASS X PUBLISHING at www.futureclassx.com .
Type at you next month!!!
