Nittany Lion of Arizona

If your timing is right, you can see the shadow of a mountain lion chasing its prey down the side of the Superstition Mountains. This only happens twice a year I’m told and that is at the spring and fall equinoxes. I was there a couple of days late and the shadow didn’t quite evolve completely until just before the sun set. The location I found was a little trail just north east of the corner of Superstition Blvd. and Goldfield Road. I’m a graduate of Penn State, so I’m calling it the Nittany Lion of Arizona.
