Semiquincentenial Colors On The Hoover Dam

On Memorial Day of 2026, they added patriotic red, white, and blue lighting to one of our national treasures, the Hoover Dam. It would be illuminated through Independence Day to celebrate our Semiquincentenial anniversary of 250 years. There was a huge flag that was also a part of the decor, but the wind had ripped it several days before I arrived and it was still being repaired. If you look close, you can see the top of the flag at the base of the dam. Notice the stars projected on the side walls. There were several different scenes of just blue, just red, and some that projected the stars on the wall of the dam. I was standing with one foot in my state of Arizona and the other foot was in Nevada.
