Peralta Trail is in the Superstition Mountains, west of Phoenix, Arizona. The trail is about 4.5 miles to the Fremont Saddle which overlooks Weaver’s Needle. This view of the rock formation that looks like a snail, or possibly a turtle, was captured on the way back down. The leading lines to the center and depth of elements from the wildflowers in the foreground, past the hoodoos, to the distant mountain ranges in the mist make this image immersive.
