Butcher Jones - Hell's Kitchen
I answered a casting call from director Brian Pulido (The Graves). The call read, "Looking for AZ actors / people who look like the classical interpretation of the Devil & Jesus (we'll be making them up and costuming them). I'm also looking for distinctly unique people who don't mind showing themselves off. We will be staging a party that goes to hell (figuratively speaking)." I have worked with Brian at the Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festivals and I've had the opportunity to attend his debut screenings for his short film There's Something Out There and his more recent feature length film The Graves and I knew that I wanted to be involved if at all possible. I responded to the casting call as a potential SPFX make-up artist for the devil and then I was thrilled to learn that I had the gig. Rich Fourmy, the lead singer for the band Pelvic Meatloaf, was cast as the devil and I painted him red, gave him a pair of yellow eye contacts, and topped him off with a Slash hat with 10" devil horns. I also added a little "hangover" make-up to the drug dealer and the priest. Ashlyn was doing the glamour make-up for all of the dancers and they looked outstanding. I took quite a few still photos of the party scene (see below) but unfortunately I was doing make-up while Butcher Jones was filming the stage scenes so I didn't get any stills of that.
